What It Checks
For readable collections, the same rules as the reference tool, in the same order, so it reports the same error category:
- The ZIP container. Entries, paths, headers, sizes, CRCs and expansion.
- The manifest. Strict JSON, closed objects, IDs and references.
- Every payload. SHA-256 digests, media signatures, and note, paper-record and reading rules.
- Structured records and review state. Detail origins, evidence, derived relationship IDs, folder rules, reminders and the apps' native limits.
For a changes document or companion, this page checks the JSON structure. It does not have the base collection, so it cannot check whether a changes document matches that archive, whether its targets exist, or whether applying it will succeed. Use the reference tool’s preview command with the exact base collection for those checks.
Encrypted (protected) files are recognized, but they can't be checked without their key, and this page never asks for one.
It is a checker, not a viewer: it shows counts and error codes, never your papers' content. The reference tool and the apps remain the authority; if they ever disagree with this page, please tell us.
